Useful References: Students will be given the opportunity to work-up clinical pathology cases from the Antech archives, encompassing both common and unusual diseases. Work-ups will consist of a review of the patient signalment and history, laboratory findings, and the review of the cytology slides. Numerous pathology references, as well as various powerpoint presentations and online training modules, will be available to the students during work up process. Ultimately the students findings and conclusions will be discussed with the pathologist moderator for that case. Students will spend time on the Antech clinical laboratory floor learning the technology, techniques, and procedures in hematology, urinalysis, serology, clinical chemistry, parasitology, and microbiology.
